We support maritime safety and security, and contribute to carbon neutral marine distribution.
Today, with 90% of international trade being carried by marine transportation, marine engine manufacturers are expected not only to support ships so that their cargo is delivered on schedule but also, in the interest of reducing their environmental footprint, to develop new engines that can reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions and even achieve net zero carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
Hitachi Zosen Marine Engine Co., Ltd. made a start on April 1, 2023, as a spin-off of Hitachi Zosen Corporation's marine engine business, with a 35% capital participation from Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
Moving forward, we hope to meet our customers' needs and increasingly strict environmental regulations, drawing on the trust, track record, and technology we have established to date.
